new to converter(2)

ok i'm new to converter i'll admit that.

but i have a really quick question.

if the OS is not in the supported list for standalone converter, are there any other tools i can use to convert a machine that isn't supported? is there some tools i can install on the target to aid a migration? are there any utilities i can boot the target from to convert the machines?

thanks in advance.

I'm sure there are a lot of people on the forum, who converted all kinds of operating system. It may help if you add some more details.

One of the options you have is to use a disk imaging software which supports the OS, then create a new VM and restore the image on the virtual disk. You may need to adjust/inject drivers to the VM after this though to make it work.

some OS unsupported by Converter migrate quite easy : BSD, Dos, Win 9x

a bit trickier to P2V : very old NT 4, Windows 2000 with early servicepacks only

very easy : Windows 7 and 2008

it would help if you provide details
