linux P2V installer

Hello, Is there a version that isnt an exe file for vCenter converter standalone. I have wine in stalled but it is a 64 bit version and I believe that the exe file is a 32 bit version. I get errors when trying to run it that all lead to it being a 64 only version. This is an offline computer and doesnt have a repo for 32 bit versions.

RHEL 7.5

For p2v of a Linux machine you need to have a Windows that runs the Converter and you need to have an existing vSphere installation.

So even if you were able to runConverter via wine you still dont have all the required ingredients.

However you can create a VM from a physical Red Hat machine without Converter.

For the imaging part of the job all you need is dd-image.

For the patching part ( creating a new initial ramdisk and so on ...) you dont need Converter either.

google finds instructions on how to do that manually

Hello,

Thanks for the advice. Could you give me a few links to the directions from google that can be used? I would like to have the end result be a image file that I can run on a vm on windows.
