Oh, yes. The logs are located in "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\VMware\VMware vCenter Converter Standalone\logs" and "%LOCALAPPDATA%\VMware\VMware vCenter Converter Standalone Client\logs"

Hello,

You are trying to install it under domain account or local account.

To isolate the issue,You can login to a local account that has administrative privileges and retry.Do let me know if that works out for you

Ok, let's try something else - run the elevated command prompt and execute "C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware vCenter Converter Standalone\vmware-converter-a.exe" "C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware vCenter Converter Standalone\converter-agent.xml", then share the output.

The server where your are trying to install the converter,Can you login with built in local administrator account and verify if you get the same error message.

for local login you need to login as .\administrator

Hi, Please try the following checklists:

1. Download the installation source again if you can

2. Install on another disk/drive

3. Disable the antivirus or any protection software in the OS temporary

4. Disable windows UAC

5. If you tried with any privileged account, run it again, with the built-in local administrator account exactly

Please mark my comment as the Correct Answer if this solution resolved your problem
