disk encryption + Converter

Will the Converter work on a laptop that has Safeboot disk encryption, I am trying to create a VM from one and it keeps failing at 97%, I have followed numerous other threads and checked things like local admin etc disable firewall and AV but still I get the failure, I have tried running it local on the laptop and from the esx server.

try again locally to your machine as the local admin but this time try msconfiging your box to rid any conflicting services. If this doesnt work, post the vmware-converter-#.log file below.

Click Start --> enter "msconfig" (without quotes)

Click on the "services" tab

Check the box for "hide all Microsoft services"

Select "disable all", then re-check the VMware services

Select the "startup" tab

Select "disable all" then re-check the VMware startup items

Reboot
