converting a windows server 2016 into a vmware esxi 6.7

Hi,

I am trying to move a Non VMware Windows 2016 server on to a new VMware ESXI 6.7 server.

Is there an easy way of doing this?

Best regards,

Daniel

The easiest answer was to use VMWare Converter, and if you can find a copy of it, you could still do it. You'd point the converter at the server's IP with credentials, it would install the agent and start the process, then finalize the move and viola, you have a P2V.

Converter Standalone would be the tool to migrate a physical OS to a virtual one, take a look through this area of VMTN for information on availability of the tool though: https://communities.vmware.com/t5/Converter-Standalone-Discussions/bd-p/2505
