converter fails at 2%

We've attempted to run converter on a number of servers (all win2k3) and every one errors at 2% with an "unknown error". We are using the latest version of converter. We have been successful in the past with Converter but lately we cannot get one server migrated.

Can you post the log files? Are you using hot clone or cold clone? You may try to use cold clone to see how it works, are you using the right credential and do the servers have diagnostic partitions? If so, deselect it just choose C: and data drives only to see how it works. What types of hardware are these servers, some cases you may have to inject drivers to boot cd to get it going. The link above has great troubleshooting steps and people have different problems/results so post your log here.

Found this article - along the lines of a mis-match on a nic team configuration, don't know if it applies to your situation but hey...

Thanks,

I recently also came across this with the latest converter agent. Because the previous converter agent was also installed previously is was conflicting.

To fix it I uninstalled VMware converter agent and deleted all related program files and registry entries, rebooted, installed converter agent 4 and then rebooted. It worked fine after this.
