converter 5.0 - Second Disk: very consistent and slow speed

Hi,

I'm sure I'm one of many who posted about slow performance of vcenter converter. But I'm unable to find someone with my exact issue.

I'm using vCenter Converter 5.0 standalone. I'm trying to convert a Windows Server 2003 physical server to an ESXi 5 host.

The Windows server has 3 partions all on the same disk.

I configure the converter to create a separate VMDK for each partition (but i also tried with the default settings).

When the conversion starts, the C: partitions gets copied with a speed of approx. 100Mbps. I look at the performance graph of the ESX host. I see the speed fluctuate between 80 en 120 Mbps. Ok, I can live with that.

Then it's the 😧 partitions turn. This one is 200GB. Speed drops immediately to just 10MBps. And what's more strange is that it's a straight line now, like it's being capped at exactly 10Mbps.

Needless to say my conversion takes about 2 day's now, but I need it done overnight.

I allready turned of SSL like in this post (http://communities.vmware.com/thread/333786). Before I did that speed was only 2 Mbps.

What can be wrong?? Where can I look next?

Thanks.
