convert a Windows7 OS into a VM from physical harddisk

Hello,

I have the hard disk of former Windows 7 computer. I need to convert the Windows7 OS into a VM.
I am using VMware Fusion on my mac.

Is there a way to convert the win7 into a VM?
Appreciate any help.

This is the software from VMware which converts OSes that were installed on a physical system to a VM: https://my.vmware.com/en/web/vmware/downloads/info/slug/infrastructure_operations_management/vmware_...

But this assumes you can boot the OS from disk.

Hi,

migration process ended with success. But my now my VM does not start.
Booted the VM from a win7 install dvd, startet automatic repair but without result.
VM does not boot in safe mode. What can I do?
