Win 7 P2V Conversion error at 98%. Unable to find the system volume, reconfiguration is not possible.

Can someone explain in clear steps how do i proceed with this. I found scattered info in different docs..but could not get the complete idea.

I am using vmware vcentre 5.0 . Using the broken vmx file and using reconfiguring option doesnt fix the issue.

Could you try the same with latest Converter 5.1?

Also there is no way to create VM on the used volumes of converted machine. Need to specify destination VM on USB/SMB storage.

It seems that converter do not found your system volume and so boot.ini :  Skipping boot.ini/BCD update because active/system volume was not found

When I load the broken vfx file on vmplayer, it says something about network boot..which never completes. Also dont seem to find a boot.ini file in this case.

Do you mean if the active volume is c: drive,,i cannot save the vm files into c: drive (hot conversion is allowed?) I need an external hd u mean?

Other docs speak about Bootable disks and repair from cmd..can someone elaborate on whts the procedure?
