One of our PCs died recently - almost certainly the motherboard. Its an old beast and not worth repairing. What is the easiest way of preparing a virtual machine out of the OS on the hard drive? The drive could easily be put into a functioning machine.

attach the disk to another PC, boot it from Converted Boot CD and clone it to VI.
