What happens to existing snapshots when converting from ESX 3.0.1 to VMWare Server 1.x

I have successfully converted 6 VMs from ESX 3.0.1 to VMWare Server. These VMs are mostly test VMs and a couple had snapshots in ESX at the time I did the migration/convertion to VMWare Server. Converter worked fine, but my question is what happens to the snapshots during the migration. Does converter move all disk files over then commit the snapshot? Or does it simply ignore them.

Basically Converter preserves the current state of the VM's disk. So all snapshots are collapsed to the current state and any branches are disregarded.
