VmWare is invalid when I add to inventory in ESXi

Hi all,

I'm new here.

I convert my Workstation with the Converter an then i copy all the converted files in the ESXi datastore. Now I would like the virtual machine add the inventory. i did the wizard but at the and the machine is add but he is invalid. the converted machine is a XP machine.

what is here wrong? can somebody help me?

Which format did you choose in Step 2? If you chose "other" virtual machine as the output type, you would have needed to pick a workstation type.

If you have converter installed directly on your workstation, could you send it directly to ESXi? This should take care of the entire process for you. ESXi doesn't quite work like the full ESX, and it is better to convert directly to it.

I think the fault was in Step 2. I Convert the machine in step 2 with "other" then i copied id with de included upgrade asisstant.....
