vCenter

Hi,

i want to convert a VM which is in esx3.5 host to vSphere using vCenter Converter.plz can anybody help me that will meke me do the convertion successfully. i dont have any documents and videos regarding V2V using P2V. so that I am not able to do it.

please help me in this regard.

Are these two hosts managed by the same vCenter?

In general you do not need the Converter. When you moved the guest to the ESX 4.x host you need to update the VMware Tools and after that the virtual hardware.

but in my case i need to resize the VM vmdk from 200gb to 100gb which is in VC2.5. so that i need do it in this way. plz tell me, is there any other ways to do it

Then I would use the free VMware Converter Standalone.

i already downloded vcenter converter 4.0. but i donno how to do it. bcoz i dont have any documents and videos to know the prerequisites, post convertion process and all those stuff regarding V2V.

plz help me in this regard
