Ciao

Have you tried to disable the SSL part on the converter?

These are the instructions:

Disabling SSL encryption on VMware Converter Standalone 5.x and 6.0 (2020517)

I don't know if you've seen this link before:

http://kadirkozan.com.tr/vcenter-converter-failed-a-general-system-error-occurred-ssl-exception-erro...

Where it basically says to try enabling TSL 1.0 as the first method. With this method, the "123422720" information in the <sslOptions> tag of the following VMware vCenter Converter configuration files will need to be changed to "56313856".

converter-server.xml --> C: \ ProgramData \ VMware \ VMware vCenter Converter Standalone

converter-worker.xml --> C: \ ProgramData \ VMware \ VMware vCenter Converter Standalone

converter-agent.xml --> C: \ ProgramData \ VMware \ VMware vCenter Converter Standalone

converter-client.xml --> C: \ Program Files (x86) \ VMware \ VMware vCenter Converter Standalone

or disable SSL in the file as well (as we had done before)

converter-client.xml

as well as in the file:

converter-worker.xml

At this point, it could be a problem not due to the Converter but from something that intercepts and blocks the traffic to the vCenter. What type of antivirus is present on the PC where the converter is installed?

Another possibility that the vCenter certificate has some incompatibility. Have you tried to install the converter on another machine and check if it works?

Is the certificate used on the vcenter the self generated one or did you create one yourself from a private PKI?
