VMware Converter 3 install

When I try to install VMware Converter on a W2K SP4 server it almost completes and then rolls back the install with the following message:

“The wizard was interrupted before VMware Converter could be completely installed. The system has not been modified. To install this program at later time, run the installation again.”

I checked your discussion board and only found one other person who experienced the same issue on a W2K3 server but I saw no solutions.

Details:

Local Admin account being used for sign on:

Windows 2000, 5.00.2195, SP4

Installing VMware Converter 3.0.1 Build 44840Steelman

Is there any solutions for this?

Check the log file for any errors, should be in %windir%\temp\vmware-temp. Also do you have enough disk space on your server?

make sure you are installing directly to the physical's C: drive as the "local" admin
