Using ESX Server...We've created some VM's from scratch and we set the RAM to 256 MB. Now I'm converting a couple of physical servers to VM's on the same ESX server. I noticed that it still carries over the actual RAM (in system properties) that the physical systems had. 2 GB for one and 4 GB for the other one. Is this ok or do I need to do something different to make these only have 256 MB of RAM like my created VM's?
Converter will try to preserve the RAM from the source. If you want to change it, after the conversion completes, just edit the VM settings and change the RAM size there.
