Enterprise Edition License File

There's no Service and Support of VMware Converter 3.0 GA for active VMTN subscribers. Why does my subscription let me download the Enterprise edition if there will be no license file? I don't have access to download other things not convered by VMTN!
Isn't the intent of an active VMTN subscription access to all of these products and NOT in "Starter' modes, e.g. VI3 Standard
I realize VMTN subscriptions are deprecated but I have a subscription until the Fall and this seems incongruent with VMware's representation of VMTN.
How does it allow you to download the Enterprise Edition? My understanding is that you need a Virtual Center license to get the Converter Enterprise edition; and my understanding is that VC is NOT included in the VMTN subscription.
Note that the Starter version is available for download. The enterprise download requires a valid login.
Check your Account -> Product Licensing -> Manage VMware Product Licenses to see if you do have a Converter Enterprise license.
>How does it allow you to download the Enterprise Edition?
From http://www.vmware.com/download/converter/ click on VMware Converter Enterprise Edition, http://www.vmware.com/download/download.do?downloadGroup=CONVERTER3
Supply my credentials, accept Enterprise EULA, download bits... standard stuff.
Where's my License??
I have the same issue will call tech support.

I do not.
Let me know if this works as I would rather not duplicate your efforts. Thanks in advance

My point was that since (a) Enterprise Converter requires a Virtual Center license, and (b) VMTN subscription does NOT include a Virtual Center license, you should not have been allowed to even download the Enterprise edition of Converter. Doesn't sound like a license issue... sounds like a website issue!

Interestingly at the time I fulfilled my VMTN subscription I did NOT have access to Virtual Center and after I activated VMTN, I did. I have my downloaded copy of Virtual Center 2.0 build 27704 right here. But you are correct, I do not have a license key for it. BUT I do have a VMTN license for P2V Assistant 2.1 and "Converter's" file name is VMware-p2v-3.0.0-39557. So I'm really confused as why there's no continuity in my P2V license towards Converter 3.0. Naming changes-aside, it makes no logical sense to me. I'm sure Marketing will set me straight.
If you have a valid License for P2V or VC in the same web page where you download the license file you would have the converter license available to download. In my case, i have P2V and VC License and without request the new license this is available in my Vmware License Page.

Check your account and verify if this is available to download.

As an active VMTN subscriber, I only have this license on the page link above:

My VMware Technology Network Activation email from VMTN has this in it:
Thanks for registering VMware software.
The following serial number(s) must be used for installing your VMware software:
VMTN Support Code
**********
P2V Assistant 2.0, Enterprise - Unlimited Use - New Epoch
In Account Home > Find Serial Number, I have a link to a P2V Assistant 2, Enterprise Edition License snippet which when saved to a file does not import into Converter 3.0. I assume Converter 3 wants a host-based Flex license which is the point of my asking my question.
Do I have a valid VMTN License Tech Support issue here?
I had am in the same situation. According to Customer Service you need to have a current P2V Support Agreement to get the license key for Enterprise.
>According to Customer Service you need to have a current P2V Support Agreement to get the license key for Enterprise.
Thanks for your information from Customer Service. A VMTN Subscription comes with a Support Agreement for two incidents[/b] for any of the products in the subscription offering[/i], including P2V Assistant 2, Enterprise Edition. Does situation this sound like an opportunity to request a Converter 3.0 license key under the VMTN Subscription Support Agreement?
It does to me. If you can get Customer Service to agree give me the name and number of the person you talk to.
Thanks

That is correct.
I doublechecked and VMTN subscribers are not entitled to Converter Enterprise licenses.
That you are able to have access to download appears to be a problem with the website that will likely go away.
>I doublechecked and VMTN subscribers are not entitled to Converter Enterprise licenses.
Every contact I have with VMware confirms this. You can use the Starter edition for free but the Enterprise version is a new product which costs $$ or is part of Virtual Center.
Thanks for all your efforts. The VMTN subscriber train stops here...all passengers please exit to the station...[/i]
