Upgrade of VMware Converter

I am a registered user of the product VMware Converter 3.0.3 and I would like to upgrade to the product VMware vCenter Converter Standalone 4.0.1

Question:

Can I simply install Converter Standalone 4.0.1 over the existing Converter 3.0.3 or does it have to be uninstalled manually ?

You can install over your existing version.

do your self a favour and unistall - reboot - reinstall

Converter uses kernel drivers and services and you better have two reboots then problems later ...
