UnableToDetermineGuestOs

I have created a virutal image with size 40gb and installed Windows 2008 in it and tired to convert with vmware converter to reduce the size to 30 Gb it was throwing the following error UnableToDetermineGuestOs.So can any help me this issue.

Hello.

What version of the Converter are you using, and what are you using to host the VM?

Windows 2008 isn't on the supported OS list for Converter 3.0.3. It might be worth giving the VMware Converter 4.0 Beta a try, as it does include support for Windows 2008.
