Unable to obtain hardware information

I am trying to migrate a Workstation VM to our ESX server. However when I try to open the existing workstation VM, I get the above error. I am using version 6.2.0

I have tried;

Running as administrator

Stopping file sharing

Re-installing the software

If you need the logs, where are the located? Also is there any other way of migrating an existing workstation VM to an ESX server?

@dschlic1

You could try exporting the VM to an OVF, then import it to ESXi.

I have tried to do that, but ran into numerous errors. After modifying the hardware type to vmx-08 and deleting two unused unsupported disk interfaces, I get this error:

Fail to Deploy.png

I have attached the OVF file in zip format.
