Unable to convert Win 2000 machine to VM

Hi,

I am newbie in VM ware, I am trying to convert a Win 2000 machine to VM machine. Logged in local user with Admin previlage, installed VMconverted using the same user. I am using VM converted 3.0.1. Converting a Physical machine into VM (I mean destination path is a standalone in the same machine). When it reached 97% conversion I am getting an error saying "Error : Unknown Error returned by VMWare converter Agent" I am attaching here with the log file as well. Can anybody help me to trouble shoot what exactly the issue and solution for the same.

Update to VMware Converter 3.0.3 and try again.

There error you are getting (sysimage.fault.ReconfigFault) is listed in the Best Practices for Troubleshooting VMware Converter - http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1004588

Your log and the error message looks like the one I got last time I did a Win2000 machine. Error at 97%, but the VM was generated, even if I could not boot it (blue screen (inaccessible boot device).

I used the suggestion reported here:

"run converter's option "Configure Machine" and point it to this non-bootable VM."

and I finally got a working VM.
