Unable to connect to the network share 'machine.domain.local\ADMIN$'.

I am running Workstation 15.5.7 on Windows 10.0.19044.1415 running vCenter Standalone client 6.2.0 build 8466193.

I need to virtualize another development machine running Windows 10.0.19043.1415.  In trying to connect to the machine I get the error:

Unable to connect to the network share 'machine.domain.local\ADMIN$'.

I did go to the cmd line and run 'net share' and I do see the ADMIN$ points to C:\Windows.  How do I resolve this?

Can you confirm that the deployment machine's firewall allows SMB/CIFS access to the share, and also that the account used to connect has the required permissions?

Are you able to connect to that share directly from your Windows 10 client?

I can remote to the machine that needs to be virtualized.  I can also map the \\machine.domain.local\ADMIN$ with my admin user and create a directory in the share.  I use to have McAfee running on the target, but I have uninstalled it.  McAfee is running on the machine running vCenter.
