Unable to Create Virtual machine

  Hi

I am trying to P2V of Linux RHEL 5 running with SAN boot . But getting an error " Unable to create Virtual machine ".How to fix this issue and how to complete P2V .please suggest .

(Converter standalone 5.5 , vCenter is 5.5 ,Host is 5.5 versions .)

Security purpose i have deleted names and ip info

Check this KB article: Converting a Linux operating system fails with the error: Unable to create virtual machine (1023173)

Not sure if apply to version 5.5, but 5.5 release notes says the same:

Source volumes on top of volume managers other than LVM are not recognized during conversion of powered on Linux machines

Converter Standalone recognizes only managed source volumes that run on the LVM volume manager. Other volume managers, including but not limited to Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM), are not recognized.

Hi,

Please describe the physical server details and also  check the firewall (iptable ,SELINUX) is enable ,

Check if used VC user has permissions to create and manipulate VMs.

Also upload log bundle to see more details about exact error.
