Task failed: P2VError SNAPSHOT_FAILURE(-1)

IT feels like I´m on a error messages To find every possible error message that vmware ever created...

Next error on stage.. Task failed: P2VError SNAPSHOT_FAILURE(-1)

Anyone familiar with that one?

Are you running Converter directly on the system you are converting? Are you using a Local Admin user account? Did you reboot after you installed Converter? What OS are you running? How much disk space do you have free?

Hello!

No, running from the VC server.

Yes local admin on the client and domain admin at VC target server.

No, I´ll try to install it locally and reboot.

W2K

Client Total: 68GB Used 5,7 new 10GB ( I also tried not to shrink)

Target LUN 275GB free

I´ll check your site out!

Hi Daniel

From what i've seen, it not recommended to run the converter on the VC server. You could create a new Guest VM that hosts the VMware converter to use for conversions into the environment.

aaah ok, I use to run it from my laptop but after a broken upgrade today i didnt... I got this error on my laptop.. http://www.vmware.com/community/thread.jspa?threadID=86675&tstart=0

I usually just install it on the server I am converting, it's less complicated that way.

I´m so darn stupid...

I´m quite sure I did reboot the server, but I did som changing, installed and uninstalled the Agents so I guess I ended up with a "unrebooted" server.. Because when I rebooted it now It just went on.

I hope It will go for a 100% success now.
