SQL 2000 to VMWare

Hi people of the VMWare converter discussion.

I need some help here. 

My task is to trash a big SLQ 2000 server, but before doing that, I have to convert it to a VM and place it on a Vmware ESXi 4.1 Host. 

Does anyone have experience with this?  What do I need to complete this task successfully?
