SNMP fails on SCCM 2016 server after successful migration to ESXi 7 host

After migrating an SCCM 2016 server onto a new box with ESXi 7 installed, SNMP fails to poll successfully, and SCCM communications lost.  Otherwise appears to be networking OK.  Can RDP into it, AD is working.  Firewall is not enabled.  WMI reports OK (repository is consistent), but unable to connect to WMI from another server or wrkstn - win32 the rpc server unavailable.  RPC up (Auto) and DCOM server Process Launcher is up (Auto)

I've tried rebuilding the network stack (netsh winsock reset); statically set the MAC (edited the .vmx) after removing and re-adding the nic from the ESXi host; removed and re-added to AD - nothing has resolved the issue.

Successfully migrated an OES server without issue using same converter.

UPDATE:  the issue appears to have resolved.  Looking into why.
