Hello,
with last version of VMware Converter I was not able to do import from TIB file produced by Acronis Server 10 for Linux.
We got info from Acronis that they knew about it and they will provide solution how to solve it.
is there someone who got the same problem (file format is unrecognized) ?
After Friday I will provide here solution - I hope it will be working fine

According to the Converter Release Notes, Acronis (TIB) is only supported by the Standalone Converter. see http://www.vmware.com/support/converter/doc/releasenotes_conv401.html
Acronis True Image Echo 9.1, 9.5, and Acronis True Image 10, 11 (Home product) (1), (2)
...
(2) Supported only in Converter Standalone server and agent for Windows.

Andre,
I know this - I was using Standalone Converter. Unfortunately it was not possible to import this TIB file.

if Converter does not eat your tibs - use them as you would do it on real metal.
Create VM - boot into Acronis LiveCD and restore the tib from a network share.
Then patch drivers manually later.
