It is a pity that P2V of Linux only works with managed destinations.
The reason for this is the fully automated use of the helper boot-CD.
Can we have a documentation how to use this CD manually ?
This would allow us to P2V Linux-systems to destination other then ESX

Honestly I do not really expect that VMware will really listen to this request
The Converter product managers seem to regard ESX as the only useful target for a P2V.
IMHO this is unwise - as often using a temporary target running on Workstation is useful ...
