Is your destination ESX or VC? Converter 3.0.1 uses port 443 to connect now instead of 902 so it may be a problem with one of your SSL certs on the server. Can you access your ESX server and VC servers through the web access which is the same port that Converter uses?

Posted this on another thread:

I'm just starting a conversion to a newly installed ESX server. I started getting the 5666 error at 2% completion. I resolved this by setting the nic duplex settings to Auto negotiate. While this is the default setting with ESX (?), I had changed it to force 100/Full out of habit since that's how we're supposed to be configured.

I've kicked off another conversion and I'm beyond the 2% mark now. Hope this helps for those still scratching their heads.

(oh, and it's moved along to the next partition, so I guess it is working)
