P2V on to windows machine with Workstation Player

I have a new windows 10 laptop.

I have a very old CentOS 6 laptop.

I would like to do a P2V of the CentOS 6 laptop into a VM which will run under the free VMware Workstation Player.

I downloaded VMware Workstation Player and VMware vCenter Converter Standalone.

I am successful in connecting over the local network to the CentOS system.

The converter won't let me make a local VM, it is not an option I can select.

Is there another P2V converter which will do what I want?

Hi @123 can you share a screenshot?

When you launch VMware vCenter Converter Standalone and click on "Convert Machine", you should select "Remote Linux Machine" and enter the details of the machine (IP, username & password). Are these the steps you followed?

Yes, selecting the remote linux machine worked just fine for source selection.

But I had no useful destination selection.
