P2V conversion of HP 8300 Elite Small Form Factor Desktop BSOD Error 0x0000007B 0xFFFFF880009A97E8 please Help!

Dear Team,

We are trying to convert HP 8300 Elite Small Form Factor Desktop with Windows 7 64 bit in AHCI Mode (default) to VM

Using Vmware converter 5.5.1 (SCSI LSI Logic SAS, the conversion worked well, but on booting the VM blue screen came up

Error 0x0000007B 0xFFFFF880009A97E8

we tried enabling LSI_SAS via loading hive in registry still the same error

We tried IDE during conversion then also same error

Please help!

This often happens when some specific drivers are installed (and the hardware is missing on VM), you can try safe mode boot to discover problematic drivers and disable them.

Thsi could be the display adapter... there are few posts in forum about no booting target VM and 0x7B error check.

Hello,

On booting the VM in low resolution (Enable Low Resolution) then also the same error,on trying the machine in safe mode

attached the screenshot of error,getting stuck at classpnp.sys

Seems that PNP can not handle some other driver (which not exist in virtual hardware). Check for specific tools and drivers from HP. HTH

Dear All,

The issue is fixed now, the issue was with permission on some of the system files (cd,usb,flpy) and inf files (cd,usb,flpy)

on resetting the permissions ,it worked
