P2V conversion going sllllooooowww

I have a 2003 SMB server being p2v'd to a new HP G5 server and i started this yesterday night....and its only by 5% thus far. what are the factors that determine the speed of the P2Vs? i've done a few and they take several hours..but not days...this one looks like it may take weeks at this rate.

There can be few issues.like...

1) Network connectivity

2) Application issue

My suggestion try to do cold migration if possible. This way there wont be any application/OS/Services coming into the picture. After running this remember to run Mikes P2V tool
