P2V conversion P has large physical disk, need V to use RAW mapped lun

Physical Server has an OS partition and a Data partition on physical disk

I'd like to convert to VM with:

     os --> datastore

     data partition --> raw mapped LUN

As far as I can see vCenter converter does not "see" the available LUNs for use as a destination

Am I missing something obvious, is there really no way to do this in one?

If not, is the best process:

     COnvert everything onto a datastore

     map the LUN

     Dupe the data from within the VM

     remove original drive

converting and doing a dup is a double process. convert only the needed drive say C:\ only. power up the VM and create a new RDM. then dup from the original to the new VM (different ip). this would save you time as you do not need to P2V the large physical disk also.
