P2V around 160 GB

Hi everybody.

I'm new in these forums.

Im planning do a P2V to a server. The Server size is 160 GB.

I need know how many time takes this procces..? Aprox??

It should take 5-6 hours with a 100mbit network. After that you have to spend about an hour cleaning the system (old drivers, hw management sw, etc)

It also depends on size of the files also. If you have a lot of small files it will take long, but if alot of the files are hugh in size and it will go fast. Also, if you get a chance to run a defrag on the physical server. This will speed up your time for completion. Are you planning on using the latest P2v or the Converter product?

It all to do with the fragmentation of the source drive and network speed.

How long is your piece of string.

Hi everybody!!!

Did u remember this problem... welll the problem continues!!! jajaja

When i execute the P2V Assitant, starts ok and then 5 % the wizards appears FAILED.

The P2V is with the machine power on

I have 4 files to the Event log about the p2v

somebody can help me??? I need do this convertion.

5% into the conversion is very quick for a failure. Did you check the network connection and make sure your P2V server can ping the target machine (and vice versa). If speed is an issue you should also check the speed/duplex setting on the target machine and can make changes using the mii-tool command.
