P2V and V2V to ESX3.5 update2 all failed at 2%

My company have two ESX server, one is ESX3.0 and the other is ESX3.5 update2, my situation is I can use the VMConverter to P2V or V2V to my ESX3.0, but the same jobs will fail at 2% if I convert to ESX3.5 update2, are the ESX3.5 update2 have some configuration need to config? I have been already irritated for a long time on this problem, please help!!

Normally this happens due to networking issues and I have had the very same problem.

Follow this article and eliminate any potential NW conflict points. (ensure the NW Duplexing is set correctly as well between the service console NIC ports and the source server NIC orts.)
