Older VMWare Image

Would someone please be able to point me in the right direction.  I'm new to vmware and am using the latest builds of both ESXi and vSphere.

I have an image that was built and exported (?) from an older version of VMWare Workstation 4.  Is there a way for me to import that into my current ESXi 5?

I realize I've probably posted this in the incorrect group but I have no idea where to look for technical resources or guidance - so any  help would be really appreciated.

Regards,

Marty

Hello and welcome to the communities.

Note: This discussion was moved from the vSphere Upgrade & Install community to the Converter community.

Give VMware Converter a try.

Good Luck!

Plan A: just try Converter

Plan B: if converter does not like that version convert the image on the Workstation 4 host via vmware-vdiskmanager to one piece preallocated type.
then post the vmdk-descriptorfile so that we adjust it for you
Also post the vmx-file
