Need help with P2V domain controller

My company has just recently moved to VMware and I have successfully P2V my NT Server and all was well.  This past weekend I P2V my Server 2000 domain controller and I thought all was well but come yesterday none of my users can connect to the NT Server.  What's weird is only the domain admin account is able to connect.  If anyone has any ideas what is causing this please help.....thanks.

Welcome to the Community,

how did you convert the DC? I really hope you did not do a "hot" conversion with the Windows 2000 server powered on. Doing so can corrupt the AD.

I had to load the local client converter on the 2000 server and yes did the

conversion with it powered on.  I'm not having any problems with any other

server on the network.  Being new to VMware this is the way my vendor

instructed me to do the conversion.  How should I have gone about this?

Thanks for the reply sir.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you don't have issues with the AD. Do you have only this one domain controller in your environment?

I remember I had an issue with accessing an NT server in a Windows 2000 domain some years ago. I just don't remember anymore what I did to fix the issue. I think it had something to do with the NTLM-v2 authentication, however I'm not sure. Do you see any entries in the Windows event logs on the NT server and/or the Windows 2000 DC after a refused connection?

I appreciate your help.

This is the error I get when I try to connect to the NT server....

...and there are event id: 5719 in the event log which refers to there not

being a domain controller in the domain.

I forgot to mention I do have a backup domain controller at another

location.  It is Server 2003.

Is the time in sync on all the servers/computers invovled?  Do you see any errors in the logs on the Domain Controller?

The time seems to be in sync, but I did notice the following event....

Seems like you have an Update Sequence Number issue(USN):
