Have 2 HP DL380 G7 ESXi Hosts, and an HP DL180 G6 vCenter Management Server all running ESXi 5.0.  The ESXi Hosts are in a Datacenter but not a Cluster.

I'm trying to convert 2 Physical Windows 2003 Server to VMs, but keep getting "A general system error occurred: unknown internal error" when running Converter Standalone 5.0.

I have tried to follow the P2V Best Practices:  http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1004588

Not doing any partition re-sizing.  Sysprep files are in the correct source and destination directories.  The Converter is connecting to the vCenter Server, not an ESXi Host directly.  The Windows Firewall is off on the vCenter Server.

    Converter logs are attached.

    Any ideas?

The atteached log bundle is missing the worker log. Can you please fo to 'Tasks' view, select the failed task and then re-export the logs?

The logs are partial, please select failed task and then obtain and upload log bundle.

Seems that 'esxi1' is not visible from the Converter Server. Add it to hosts file or use as IP.
