My problem about vCenter Converter

I use P2V with Converter 4.2.1 and convert Windows 2008 R2.

but my convert only run to 95%, and stop summary "Task id =2 ; Fault.Summary" at "update boot.ini on the destination system volume".

Help me, Please.

Hi,

Have you tried booting the VM - at 95% it may try boot, then bluescreen, or fail with a typical Windows error.

You could boot the VM from a WinPE disk and just edit the boot.ini yourself (if you know how) and see if it gets you anywhere? There are also some BartPe SCSI fix plugins that can do this for you.

That said, you probably want to resolve the initial issue.

What version of converter did you use? Did you disable AV / Firewall?

Did you try just re-running the job?

i have a question, when i convert P2V, my process is 95% to appear problem  Physical Machine cant continue run, i must reset my computer with error in vCenter taskid=4, Fault.Summary at event: Update the boot.ini on the destination .... Why?

If i convert physical server of company, i cant reset them, help me please.
