Linux convert to ESX4.1i problem

I have tried to use vmconverter 4.0.1 to convert a linux to the ESX4.1i but fail, but i can perform the same convertion in ESX(not ESXi), i have check that when convert a linux server, there are some port need to open, and i found port 903 in ESXi is disabled, but in ESX is enabled, is this the main cause of my issue?

Are you using cold clone? What linux dis you are using? What is the error that you are facing?

You may need the recue disk to complie the kernel and change the OS type to the corresponding linux dis. Also, please do remember to the correct disk type.

I am doing a hot P2V, and it is runing RHEL 4, The error is "FAILED: MethodFault.Summary" at 1%, and i can see the converter will create the VM, but it will remove it immediately

Hi,

What about the physical network between the source and destination? Is there a firewall between the two?

Also, can you paste/attach the logs please?
