Licensing Vmware Converter

How do you license vmware converter. Does it come with the ESX server license or a virtual centre license. We have 2 sites and each site has a number of esx servers V3.02. We have a virtual centre in one of the sites which manages all the esx servers. We have a vmware converter installed on a site which is all licensed, but I need to do a conversion of a physical server in our second site to to a SAN which is already on the second site, so its best if I install a converter on this second site. The converter version we have is V3.0.2 build 59994. But how would Iicense this. Or should I just use the converter in our first site.

Log in to the license management site and generate a new HOSTED license. The converter license will be a choice...

I believe that the converter license is part of the ENT package.

If you are looking for a vmware converter client for live migration you can use the vmware converter free edition.

If you have the Enterprise license you can download the coldclone boot cd and migrate the machine with its assistance.

One of the nice things in VI 3.5 is that you have the converter built into the VC.;)
