When doing a conversion from a physical to virtual, is it possible to reduce the CPU count?
We are converting some production servers to test servers that have Quad Core CPUs and are being setup with 4 CPU on the virtual.
Yes. All you need to do is edit the converted virtual machine settings before you power on the VM.
So there is not a way within the VMConverter to reduce the CPU Count. You either have to manually reduce it or create a script to do it. Correct?
Correct. It would be the same steps as if you wanted to remove the USB and Parallel ports from the converted VM.
