Importing an OVF format machine from esx3.5 to esx4.0 U2

Hi

Can I import an OVF format guest machine(Win2K3) on ESX 4.0 U2 which is exported from ESX 3.5.

If yes are there anythings that needs to be taken care of ?

Any changes that needs to be done before or after?

Have you ever tried this ? Got any issues on this ?

There shouldn't be any issues. Anything about the original that you are concerned about?

Just not sure if the version of OVF formats would be different in ESX 3.5 & ESX 4.0 and will they be compatible.

Has been a while. What tool was used to create the OVF? The disk format isn't a problem between ESX(i) versions. Version 4 hardware running on ESX(i) 4.x isn't a problem.

I've not yet exported the guest machine, I'm planning to export a guest machine on ESx 3.5 in OVF format using the inbuilt VC's export option & then importing it on ESX4.0 .
