My PC has problems and I think must do RESET Windows 10 Pro... I can Not install software nor update any Apps, and Windows 10 Not update from January 2020...
I went install
vCenter Converter: P2V Virtual Machine Converter | VMware
but says something installing and can Not proceed...
If use this :
Disk2vhd - Windows Sysinternals | Microsoft Docs
and do C:/ disk virtual machine image for Hyper-V, can convert result-VM.vhdx file to VMware compatible VM file?????
I plan to create this vhdx file, after reset the PC, and convert vhdx file to VMware workstation Pro VM file compatible to run in the after Reset Windows 10 Pro system.... well???
From what you've said the only VMware-specific part of what you intend to do is once you have a VMDK file version of the disk, then it would just be a case of creating a VM in Workstation to use an "existing disk" (your VMDK file) - unless I've missed or misinterpreted something...? Do you have a more specific question than "well???"
As I can Not install Software to my failure Windows 10 Pro OS, I can Not install Vmware converter
I can only run disk2vhd tool from Microsoft - since Not required install, only run it ...
so if I do C:/ disk virtual machine image with disk2vhd for Hyper-V, can convert the result PC9.vhdx file, to VMware compatible VM file?????
I WANT AFTER RESET MY PC AND REMOVE FAILURE OF OS
CONVERT THE
PC9.vhdx file to
PC9.vmdk
Can I? with Vmware converter???? to run on VMware workstation player
You can convert vhdx to vmdk with Starwind V2V converter
Moderator: Since this is more a question about P2V and V2V, thread moved to the Converter Standalone area.
