Hello, I'm quite new to vmware.
and I'm wondering what are other options for coverting baremetal OS besides vmware converter?
Is there any better option?
Thanks
I have used Veeam Agent in order to backup physical machine and restore that as a virtual machine on vSphere.

StarWind have a converter too: https://www.starwindsoftware.com/starwind-v2v-converter
Platespin Migrate
Double Take Move
any backup software that is able to restore from bare metal to VM (like Acronis)
Still Vmware Converter is not that bad and we had plenty of success with it.
I didn‘t realise the Platespin brand still existed, I used to deliver the official PowerConvert training course when they were still an independent company before the Novell acquisition.
You can still get it through Microfocus
This software is not really cheap, but when you migrate really expensive workload with minimum downtime req, then it really pays the price
That was always the case!
