When I try to use converter to copy a VM from one datastore to another i get the following error:
FAILED: The operation is not supported on the object.
The VM is running Windows 2008 R2 x64 and consist of 2 harddrives, both THIN provisioned.
I have tried several times. To get to the point where Converter actually starts the job I had to change settings on the virtual machine.
I changed the netcard to E1000 instead of VMXNET3. I changed OS from Windows 2008 R2 x64 to Windows 2003 Standard x64...
Nothing helps.
I also tried to do a backup of the VM with VCBackup. When backup is almost done on second harddrive it hangs with the following error:

Is does not end the backupjob. It just hangs...
How can I copy the VM ? I have to copy it to another ESX 4i v4.1 server....

I can't find /var/log/vmkernel on my ESX v4.1 host. I can only see /var/log....
There's no error in vSphere client...
