Error: An error occurred during reconfiguration

Hello,

I am trying to clone my Windows 10 pc but i get the error

Error: An error occurred during reconfiguration

with Status: FAILED at 98%

Investigating in the log it seems the cause of the issue is the following error:

[task,379] [task-3] -- ERROR -- Convert: converter.fault.ReconfigurationNoSystemVolumeFault

Maybe someone help me? Thank you very much

Immediate thought, would be to make sure that the destination datastore has enough space to accommodate the machine that is being converted/migrated.

Hello Tom and thank you for the reply.

The destination is an external HD with 4TB

In my case it turned out to be the HD controller.  It was automatically set at LSI Logis SAS.  I changed it to IDE on both drives.  No difference.  I changed it to SATA for both drives.  VM started up without problem.
