OK, I need to migrate a physical 2003 server into our vCenter Cluster.
The networks are logically isolated and segments do not talk to one another without router rules applied to open certain ports.
My question:
What ports between segments do I need opened up to do a successful P2V between subnets?
Thanks
The below KB Article gives you all the details of the ports that need to be open for P2V

Yup, saw that. Just wondering if anyone had any other ports they needed opened to get their p2v to work. I know at one point that the vmware converter, when using vCenter, will first start talking to the vCenter server then somewhere during the migration the job is handed off to the esx/esxi host.
Just curious if there are more ports people opened other than 443 & 902 to get it to work.
Thanks
That would be sufficient AFAIK.
There are no additional ports need - what you are thinking of the lions share of the communication is between the two machines - source and target -
Points awarded. Thanks everyone!
