Converting SAN volume to VM

Is it possible to convert a SAN volume to a VM? If so, whats the best method? I have a physical boot-from-san server, and I need to make it a VM. RDM'ing to the existing boot volume is not an option.

If your volume is bootable right now (using ethernet NICs), our winBoot/i can convert that back to a VM, either continuing to boot from SAN with the VM, or from a vmdk within the the VM.
