Can we use converter to move a VM from a 3.02 esx host to a 2.5 esx host?

If the 2.5.x host is being managed by VC 2.x or newer you can.
otherwise you have to SCP the VMDKs ( http://kb.vmware.com/kb/900 for the rest of the import process)
